I have really bad blackheads on my noise and my dermotoligist told me to put differn on it. Does differn work?

I had good results with Differin for a while. It did make my skin pretty dry in the winter, though.I have really bad blackheads on my noise and my dermotoligist told me to put differn on it. Does differn work?
